Internal Audit, Compliance & Project Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Internal Audit, Compliance & Project Coordinator to join our Manchester‑based team. Reporting to the Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance Officer, you will help strengthen governance, identify risks and improve processes across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out internal audits across financial processes, departments and regional offices.
• Review financial transactions, reporting and controls to ensure compliance with internal procedures.
• Audit branch and departmental activity, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Produce clear audit reports highlighting findings and recommendations.
• Investigate financial anomalies and support improvements to processes and procedures.
• Assist with compliance monitoring, risk reviews and governance activities.
• Support internal projects and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Provide guidance and support to colleagues across the organisation.

Required profile

• Previous experience in internal audit, compliance, risk, finance or a related field.
• Experience reviewing financial information, controls and processes.
• Strong analytical ability with attention to detail.
• Excellent report‑writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage own workload.
