Internal Auditor – Associate, Business Audit

About the role

Morgan Stanley’s Internal Audit Division is looking for an Associate to conduct audits and execute testing of the ISG portfolio in Glasgow. The role supports the Business Audit team by providing independent assurance on risk, control and governance across front, middle and back‑office functions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify risk and impact within the coverage area to prioritize audit focus.
• Execute and lead assurance activities such as audits, continuous monitoring and closure verification.
• Facilitate clear, timely conversations with stakeholders about risks and control effectiveness.
• Manage multiple deliverables in line with team priorities.
• Provide and receive feedback, and participate in formal and on‑the‑job training.

Required profile

• Understanding of the business line and key regulations relevant to the coverage area.
• Strong grasp of audit principles, methodology, tools and processes (risk assessments, planning, testing, reporting, continuous monitoring).
• Ability to analyse multiple data sources and form a clear point of view.
• Effective questioning, stakeholder engagement and inclusive behaviour.
• 2‑4 years of relevant audit experience.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CIA, CPA, CFA, CIDA, SIE) are preferred.
