Internal Communications Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Internal Communications Manager to own and drive the internal communications agenda for a leading Housing Association. Reporting into the wider communications and marketing function, you will work independently to ensure staff are informed, engaged and connected.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day internal communications activities and produce engaging content across multiple channels.
• Manage and develop internal communication platforms, ensuring they remain up‑to‑date and user‑friendly.
• Support engagement, culture and change initiatives by crafting clear messages and campaigns.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organisation to align communications with business objectives.
• Gather feedback and insight to continuously improve the effectiveness of internal communications.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a hands‑on approach.
• Proven experience in internal communications, employee engagement or corporate communications.
• Comfortable working independently, managing priorities and delivering results without direct line management.
• Background in lean or standalone teams where initiative and ownership are essential.
• High energy and enthusiasm that positively influences the wider team.

• Competitive salary between £50,000 and £55,000, dependent on experience.
