Internal IT Technician

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Internal IT Technician to join our small IT team at the Birmingham Head Office. You will provide first‑line support to more than 500 users across the adi Group, gaining exposure to a wide variety of business systems and technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑line helpdesk support, resolving tickets or escalating when necessary.
• Configure and deploy laptops, desktops and authorised software.
• Set up and manage mobile devices using Microsoft Intune (Android and iOS).
• Support Microsoft 365 services, including password resets, MFA, licensing and user administration.
• Create and manage user accounts in Active Directory and Exchange for joiners, movers and leavers.
• Assist with networking, VPN connectivity and remote‑site support.
• Collaborate with the IT team to maintain a high‑quality support service.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an IT support or helpdesk environment (advantageous).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical issues to non‑technical users.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
