Internal Sales Representative

About the role

We are seeking an accurate, commercially‑minded Internal Sales professional to join our client’s team in Cambridgeshire. The role focuses on producing timely quotations, processing orders and supporting the sales team to maximise revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries by phone and email.
• Prepare accurate quotations and process sales orders.
• Follow up quotes to secure sales and identify upsell opportunities.
• Maintain up‑to‑date customer records and quotation information.
• Dispatch product samples and information to customers.
• Assist the sales team during peak periods and develop product knowledge.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an internal sales or estimating role.
• Professional telephone manner with strong communication skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Proactive approach to customer service and sales opportunities.
• Experience in construction, trade, hardware or building products is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Word.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel.

What we offer

• Full‑time permanent contract, Monday‑Friday 9:00‑17:00.
