International Media Relations Executive (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role
Manchester United is seeking an International Media Relations Executive to lead its global media and PR activities on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. This fast‑paced, collaborative role will shape the club’s visibility and reputation across international markets, with a particular focus on non‑English speaking audiences.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute international communications strategies that align with the club’s overall communications approach.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key international media outlets, broadcasters, and journalists.
- Support media‑rights obligations and coordinate interviews, press conferences, and media events for Men’s, Women’s and Academy activities.
- Create and deliver creative communications campaigns for non‑endemic international media, both proactive and reactive.
- Produce clear written materials such as press releases, features, briefings and messaging documents.
- Monitor international media and social platforms, providing advice, identifying trends and flagging risks.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including content, marketing, commercial and Foundation colleagues to ensure integrated communications.
Required profile
- Proven experience in international media relations or public relations, preferably within sport or a global brand.
- Demonstrated ability to work with non‑English speaking stakeholders and media.
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple media events and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high‑performance, collaborative environment.
