International Tax Manager – Fixed-Term Contract

About the role

As an International Tax Manager on a 12‑18 month fixed‑term contract, you will join Bupa’s Group Finance team to help shape the company’s global tax strategy. Working across London, Manchester, Staines and Brighton, you will provide practical tax advice, support cross‑border transactions and contribute to the continuous improvement of tax processes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver clear UK and international tax advice to business units.
• Support cross‑border transactions, funding structures and major business changes.
• Identify tax risks and opportunities to inform strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with teams in multiple markets to ensure compliance with local tax rules.
• Contribute to transfer‑pricing documentation and Country‑by‑Country Reporting.
• Assist with Corporate Interest Restriction calculations.
• Manage relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate their impact to stakeholders.
• Seek improvements in tax processes, systems and data usage.

Required profile

• Qualified tax professional (ACA, ACCA or CTA).
• Experience in corporate tax within a multinational corporation or large advisory firm.
• Strong understanding of UK and international tax principles.
• Ability to analyse data, challenge assumptions and present clear conclusions.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex tax topics simply.
• Self‑managed workload with a focus on meeting deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
