Intervention Specialist

About the role

Reeson Education is seeking an Intervention Specialist to join a supportive and inclusive school in Rotherham. The role focuses on helping pupils overcome learning barriers, improve confidence, and achieve their full academic potential.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑to‑one and small‑group targeted interventions.
• Identify learning gaps and implement effective strategies.
• Support pupils in building confidence, independence and engagement.
• Monitor, assess and record progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, parents and external professionals to develop individual learning plans.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an educational setting, preferably delivering interventions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Patient, adaptable and proactive approach to supporting learning.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
