About the role
A forward‑thinking Greenwich primary school near Kidbrooke Station is seeking an Intervention Teaching Assistant to deliver targeted academic support for Upper KS2 pupils. The role focuses on small‑group work in reading, writing and maths, with clear objectives and regular progress reviews.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and track targeted interventions for Years 5‑6 in English and Maths.
- Assess pupil progress, adapt sessions and report outcomes to the SENCo and phase leader.
- Lead small‑group sessions, ensuring a calm and focused learning environment.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support teams to align interventions with curriculum goals.
- Maintain accurate records of intervention activities and outcomes.
Required profile
- Experience delivering academic interventions in KS2.
- Confidence supporting Maths and English learning objectives.
- Ability to assess progress and adapt sessions accordingly.
- Clear communication with teaching staff and SEN support teams.
- Organised, patient and confident leading small groups.
- Graduates in English, Maths, Education, Psychology or related subjects are encouraged to apply.
