Inventory Checker – Manufacturing Cycle Counts

About the role

This position involves performing daily cycle counts of manufacturing inventory for a leading global agricultural machinery manufacturer. You will ensure inventory accuracy by reconciling physical counts with system records and investigating any variances.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily cycle counts in assigned warehouse areas.
• Reconcile physical counts with the WMS (AS400) records.
• Investigate and document discrepancies, performing root‑cause analysis.
• Recommend and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
• Identify and record damaged or misplaced products.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to resolve inventory problems.

Required profile

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong numeracy and analytical abilities.
• Physically fit for manual tasks (lifting, carrying, walking, standing, twisting, kneeling, bending) up to 9 hours per shift.
• Ability to distinguish basic colours for inventory coding.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Good attendance and punctuality.
• Valid driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Proficiency in MS Access.
• Experience using AS400 WMS.

What we offer

• £15.64 per hour with overtime available.
• 37 hours per week, full‑time.
• 12‑month fixed‑term contract with the possibility of permanent employment.
