Inventory Coordinator

About the role

We are supporting a well‑established business in their search for an Inventory Coordinator to join the Supply Chain team in Crawley. The role combines data‑driven inventory planning with close collaboration across suppliers, production and internal stakeholders to ensure the right products are available at the right time.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels against forecasts and demand trends.
• Plan and maintain appropriate stock levels to support customer requirements.
• Raise purchase and production orders to replenish inventory.
• Work closely with external manufacturing partners and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
• Build strong supplier relationships, monitoring performance, costs and availability.
• Conduct regular inventory reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate product, costing and inventory data within the ERP system.

Required profile

• Experience in inventory planning, supply planning, stock control or a similar supply‑chain role.
• Background in a manufacturing, distribution or supply‑chain environment.
• Strong analytical ability with a data‑driven decision‑making approach.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• High attention to detail and a proactive problem‑solving mindset.
• Effective communication skills for building relationships across teams.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience using ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle).
• Ability to raise purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers.
• Familiarity with inventory data maintenance and product master data.
