Inventory & Purchasing Controller

About the role

Bridgewater Resources is seeking an Inventory & Purchasing Controller for its flagship Avonmouth operation. You will manage stock levels and purchasing activity across a large, diverse product portfolio, ensuring the right products are available at the right time while optimising inventory investment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best commercial outcomes.
• Manage inventory levels across a wide product range.
• Monitor stock turnover, inventory investment and purchasing performance.
• Analyse sales trends, buying patterns and demand forecasts.
• Place and manage high‑volume purchase orders.
• Support promotional campaigns and product initiatives.
• Produce reports and analyse data using Excel.
• Identify opportunities to improve stock availability and inventory efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with sales, operations and management teams.

• Detail‑oriented and able to influence purchasing decisions.
• Proactive in supporting promotional activity and driving growth.
