Investment Operations Assistant

About the role

We are looking for an Investment Operations Assistant to provide essential operational and administrative support across our investment functions. Working in a hybrid setting in Chichester, you will act as a key operational backbone, ensuring accurate execution of investment instructions and supporting portfolio administration.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, process and execute client investment instructions and trade settlements within strict market deadlines.
• Support day‑to‑day operational management of client portfolios, recording trades and asset transfers accurately.
• Perform regular reconciliations of holdings, cash balances and unit positions against third‑party platforms and custodians.
• Maintain and update core investment management databases, CRM records and platform data to ensure data quality.
• Identify, investigate and resolve reporting variances, execution queries or data discrepancies promptly.
• Assist in producing quarterly valuation reports, client statements and regulatory/tax documentation.
• Handle operational enquiries from internal teams, custodians, platforms and third‑party providers.
• Identify opportunities to optimise workflows and contribute to team project initiatives.
• Support client onboarding, coordinating account set‑up, transfer instructions and AML checks.

Required profile

• Meticulous and diligent with a strong eye for detail when handling financial data.
• Commercially aware with genuine interest in financial markets and investment products.
• Proactive and organised, able to manage tight operational deadlines and prioritise tasks.
• Strong numerical ability and a proactive mindset.
