Investment Operations Manager

About the role

Skybound Wealth Management is seeking an experienced investment professional to own the day‑to‑day delivery, governance and development of its investment proposition. This senior, adviser‑facing role sits at the centre of the firm’s investment offering and reports to the Group Head of Proposition.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the central investment contact for advisers, providing guidance on strategy, asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk and performance.
• Support adviser‑led client meetings, explain the investment proposition and respond to technical queries.
• Own implementation and consistent use of the investment proposition across the Group, monitoring approved managers and model portfolios.
• Chair the Investment Committee, conduct due‑diligence on fund managers and maintain governance records.
• Lead and develop the Global Dealing Team, ensuring trade execution controls and identifying process improvements.
• Drive central investment projects such as portfolio migrations and cash balance management.
• Produce weekly and monthly investment operations reporting for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Strong investment knowledge with experience in portfolio construction and multi‑currency, multi‑jurisdiction environments.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex investment concepts to advisers and clients.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects and maintain rigorous investment governance.
• Experience working with global advisers across the UK, US, Europe and the Middle East.

Required skills

• In‑depth understanding of approved asset managers, investment solutions and model portfolios.
• Ability to conduct formal due‑diligence on discretionary fund managers and asset managers.
• Proficiency in investment reporting, management information and performance analysis.
• Operational discipline in trade dealing, risk identification and process improvement.
