IT Applications Analyst

About the role

We are looking for an IT Applications Analyst to join Southwark Council’s Regulatory Applications Service. In this role you will ensure key regulatory systems run reliably, support users, and drive continuous improvement through data‑driven insight.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support and maintenance for core regulatory applications, ensuring availability and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the application portfolio.
• Develop and maintain system documentation and knowledge‑sharing resources.
• Analyse system data using SQL to produce reports and inform service enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement upgrades and process improvements.
• Provide cross‑coverage to maintain service continuity during absences.

Required profile

• Proactive and analytical mindset with a strong focus on service quality.
• Experience supporting and managing corporate applications in a public‑sector environment.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Required skills

• SQL – writing, executing and interpreting queries.
• Experience with Civica APP and Civica CX regulatory applications.
