IT Automation Project Execution Specialist (Pharma)

About the role

Our client, a global pharmaceutical manufacturer in Milton Keynes, is looking for an IT Automation Project Execution Specialist to drive the delivery of validated automation and infrastructure projects. You will work at the intersection of IT and operational technology, ensuring systems meet GxP standards throughout their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automation solutions for IT and OT environments.
• Administer Windows Server (2022 or later) platforms and support system upgrades and migrations.
• Configure, troubleshoot and document network components such as VLANs, routing, switching and firewalls.
• Support and integrate industrial and laboratory systems including Rockwell FactoryTalk, Mettler Toledo FormWeigh and Environmental Monitoring Systems.
• Create and maintain GxP validation documentation (IQ, OQ, PQ, SOPs, risk assessments, validation plans).
• Participate in the Software Development Lifecycle within a validated framework.
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing and Engineering teams and report progress to the Project Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering system upgrades or migrations in a regulated environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills within GxP‑regulated settings.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows Server administration and networking concepts.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical or life‑science validation processes.
