IT Business Analyst – Data & Process Improvement

About the role

This position combines business analysis, process improvement and data analytics to help a growing organisation transform its operations. Working from Leeds, you will act as the bridge between business teams and technology, ensuring data quality and process efficiency support informed decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Capture, map and maintain Level 1‑3 business processes, procedures and work instructions.
• Identify inefficiencies, risks and improvement opportunities across departments.
• Extract, interrogate and analyse data using SQL to produce operational insight.
• Cleanse, manipulate and reconcile data with advanced Excel and VBA techniques.
• Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and visualisations.
• Produce regular management information, KPI reporting and ad‑hoc analysis for senior leaders.
• Support adoption of ERP and Microsoft business applications by translating requirements into practical solutions.
• Facilitate clear communication between technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst or in a hybrid business‑systems and reporting role.
• Strong process‑mapping and documentation abilities, including end‑to‑end modelling.
• Proven experience building Power BI dashboards for business users.
• Good knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis.
