IT Business Analyst – Governance, Data & BI

About the role

Pontoon is seeking an IT Business Analyst to help build a governance framework for its new AI offering. The role is hybrid, requiring two days a week on‑site in Bristol, and runs initially until the end of the year.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and embed enterprise standards, controls and governance for GenBI and Agentic BI.
• Operationalise a Minimum Standard GenBI Testing Framework and ensure audit evidence is captured.
• Develop and manage the Minimum Standard GenBI Release Model, including go‑live approval and scaling guardrails.
• Define and run a GenBI service model covering incident management, fault reporting and ownership across BI teams.
• Translate standards into practical delivery guidance and drive adoption across AI CoE and federated teams.
• Set minimum standards for emerging tooling (MCP, Q‑score) and pilot automation solutions.

Required profile

• Strong Business Analysis experience with a focus on governance, testing and release processes.
• Ability to work with audit and risk partners to ensure compliance.
• Experience shaping service models and incident management processes.
• Comfort with defining and piloting automation and quality tooling.
