IT & DevOps Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an IT / DevOps Support Engineer to join our shared operational function. This hands‑on role bridges traditional IT support and DevOps operations, focusing on second‑line troubleshooting, infrastructure operations, monitoring, vulnerability remediation and continuous service improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and triage operational support tickets.
• Investigate technical and infrastructure issues.
• Provide advanced desktop and endpoint support for Windows, Linux and macOS.
• Support infrastructure administration and maintenance activities.
• Monitor alerts and perform first‑line remediation.
• Assist with vulnerability remediation and patch‑management processes.
• Maintain and improve operational runbooks and documentation.
• Provide onsite support and hands‑on troubleshooting when required.
• Improve escalation quality and support processes.
• Contribute to operational stability, repeatability and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong second‑line troubleshooting skills with an investigative mindset.
• Experience supporting Windows, Linux and macOS environments.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Jira.
• Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools.
• Experience with patching and vulnerability‑management processes.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and access‑control concepts.
• Ability to script or automate operational tasks.
• Experience documenting processes and improving documentation.
• Comfortable working across multiple teams and technologies.
• Organised, process‑oriented and confident communicator.
