IT Endpoint Field Service Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Endpoint Field Service Engineer to provide on‑site support for a growing laboratory network across Hertfordshire and West Essex. The role is hands‑on and field‑based, focusing on hardware deployment, troubleshooting and maintaining endpoint systems.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver desktop and endpoint support across multiple laboratory sites.
• Deploy, configure and maintain PCs, laptops, printers and mobile devices.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including repairs and upgrades.
• Perform regular site visits and respond to support requests promptly.
• Assist with IT projects and transformation initiatives in new laboratory environments.
• Act as an escalation point and collaborate with wider IT teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar IT support or field engineer role.
• Confident, proactive and able to work independently across multiple locations.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed).

Required skills

• Hardware provisioning, troubleshooting and repairs for PCs, laptops, printers and mobile devices.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, port patching, etc.).

• Permanent full‑time contract (40 hours per week, 08:00–17:00).
