IT Engineer II – Google Workspace

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned IT Engineer II to join Checkout.com’s Engineering team in London. The role focuses on delivering and supporting Google Workspace and related endpoint services, acting as an owner‑operator for the systems you manage.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver project‑level work independently, with minimal guidance.
• Provide advanced technical support and policy management for macOS and Windows endpoints using Jamf and Microsoft Intune.
• Maintain operational excellence for team‑owned services and mentor new engineers.
• Lead incident response, triaging complex issues and ensuring timely resolution.
• Identify automation opportunities and develop scripts in Python or PowerShell to reduce manual effort.

Required profile

• 2–3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of identity providers (Okta, Azure AD) and protocols such as SAML and SCIM.
• High‑level experience managing the Google Workspace suite.
• Proactive “owner‑operator” mindset with excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
