IT Field Engineer (Schools)

About the role

This role provides first and second line IT support to a portfolio of schools and educational establishments across the South East. You will work on‑site at multiple locations, delivering technical solutions, troubleshooting issues and contributing to wider IT projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first and second line support to users across multiple school sites.
• Perform hardware installations, upgrades and routine maintenance.
• Support and maintain network infrastructure, including switches and Wi‑Fi equipment.
• Monitor system performance and respond to alerts.
• Ensure security and compliance standards are met.
• Assist with larger IT projects and system roll‑outs.

Required profile

• Experience in a similar IT support role, preferably within the education sector or an MSP serving schools.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and ability to work independently on‑site.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality service to end users.
