IT Field Engineer – South England

About the role

We are seeking a confident IT Field Engineer to join a growing, security‑focused solutions provider. Based in Newbury, you will travel across the South of England delivering end‑to‑end IT projects and on‑site support for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site technical support and troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues.
• Design, implement and commission IT projects covering infrastructure, networking, cloud and security solutions.
• Configure and maintain firewalls (WatchGuard, Fortinet), Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and routing.
• Support the service desk function and assist colleagues with complex tickets.
• Document work performed and ensure compliance with security standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT support, field engineering or infrastructure roles.
• Strong knowledge of Windows environments, networking and security technologies.
• Excellent customer‑facing communication skills and ability to work independently on client sites.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the South of England.
