IT Implementation Specialist - Manufacturing

About the role

Leonardo UK is seeking an IT Implementation Specialist to drive the deployment, configuration, and optimisation of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) as part of its digital manufacturing transformation. You will work in a collaborative, multi‑vendor environment, focusing on Siemens Opcenter hosted on Microsoft Azure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the deployment and configuration of Siemens Opcenter across development, test and production environments in Azure.
• Collaborate with Siemens engineers via remote sessions to troubleshoot, debug and validate configurations.
• Execute and monitor Windows services and command‑line operations to support MES deployment and maintenance.
• Integrate Siemens Opcenter with Teamcenter Easy Plan and SAP S/4HANA, ensuring alignment between PLM, MES and ERP platforms.
• Liaise with external partners during system re‑platforming and transition activities.
• Provide technical input for test planning and environment readiness.
• Document deployment processes and contribute to continuous improvement of MES implementation practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Siemens MES tools, especially Opcenter and Teamcenter.
• Strong understanding of software deployment lifecycle and configuration management.
• Experience integrating MES with PLM and ERP systems (Teamcenter Unified, SAP S/4HANA).
• Hands‑on experience deploying and managing solutions in Azure Cloud.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
