IT Manager – Hybrid – £75k-£80k

About the role

We are partnering with an international manufacturing business to find an experienced IT Manager to lead the UK and Portugal infrastructure team. The role is hands‑on, hybrid and offers the chance to shape the IT function during a period of significant transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a small team responsible for the design, delivery and support of Microsoft‑based infrastructure across the UK and Portugal.
• Drive the migration to Azure and optimise networking and security architectures.
• Introduce and maintain IT governance, operational processes and ITIL‑aligned service management.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks such as ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials and NIST.
• Manage relationships with third‑party vendors and coordinate internal stakeholder requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a hands‑on IT Manager, Infrastructure Manager or Head of IT role.
• Strong background in Microsoft infrastructure, Azure, networking and security.
• Experience implementing IT governance, operational processes and ITIL best practice.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials or NIST cybersecurity standards.
• Ability to lead a small team while remaining technically involved.
