IT Manager – Hybrid (Reading, UK)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to join a fast‑growing, award‑winning SaaS vendor. The role is hybrid, with regular days in our Reading office, and focuses on keeping the internal technology estate reliable, performant and secure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of two direct reports and manage core business systems such as CRM, Finance, Telephony, HR and HubSpot.
• Ensure stability and security of the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks and cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain disaster‑recovery plans.
• Manage relationships with technology vendors, MSPs and partners, monitoring SLAs and renewal decisions.
• Oversee the internal helpdesk to deliver a high‑quality service experience.
• Own procurement, deployment and lifecycle management of hardware and software assets.
• Act as technical SME on cross‑functional projects, translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Control information‑security measures and access rights, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.

Required profile

• 3+ years in a leadership or team‑lead capacity.
• 7+ years of hands‑on experience in IT operations and infrastructure.
• Proven track record delivering multiple concurrent technology or transformation projects.
• Experience managing external vendors, MSPs or technology partners.
• Comfortable working in an SME environment and wearing many hats.
• Strong communication skills, able to explain technical risk to non‑technical stakeholders.
