IT Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to own and expand Ncounter’s internal technology estate across the UK and international sites. The role focuses on building secure, scalable environments that support rapid growth, rather than maintaining existing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Own the internal IT environment across multiple UK and overseas locations.
• Design, implement and manage secure Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft Defender and Conditional Access.
• Administer and harden Atlassian Jira and Confluence platforms, establishing governance.
• Plan and deliver office technology roll‑outs, from infrastructure to secure end‑user devices.
• Manage endpoint procurement, deployment and lifecycle in partnership with suppliers and MSPs.
• Drive continuous improvement in security, identity, device management and operational resilience.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships while retaining technical ownership.
• Advise senior leadership on immediate needs and long‑term technology strategy.

Required profile

• Proven senior IT Manager experience in a startup, scale‑up or investment‑backed organisation.
• Track record of building and securing Microsoft 365 environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Jira and Confluence administration and security hardening.
• Experience establishing IT capabilities across multiple offices or international sites.
• Strong endpoint deployment and device‑management background.
• Excellent supplier and vendor management skills.
• Security‑first mindset with both physical and logical controls.
