IT Operations Engineer – Cambridge

About the role

Bidwells is seeking an experienced IT Operations Engineer to join its growing IT team in Cambridge. You will play a key part in maintaining a modern, secure and resilient technology environment that supports the company’s real‑estate advisory business.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of core business systems, acting as technical lead and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
• Support, maintain and continuously improve IT infrastructure across all sites, including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange, Intune, HubSpot, MRI Suite and Citrix.
• Deliver infrastructure upgrades, system administration, patch management and new technology implementations while ensuring compliance with Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001 and internal standards.
• Work closely with the Managed Service Provider to keep the environment secure, reliable and high‑performing.
• Provide 2nd/3rd line support, manage incidents, changes and problems, and perform root‑cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
