IT Operations Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead a high‑performing IT function in a growing organisation. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day IT operations, supplier management and ensuring secure, reliable technology services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily management of IT operations, infrastructure and support services.
• Manage external IT support and cyber‑security partners, ensuring service‑level agreements are met.
• Develop and mentor the internal IT operations team, fostering a customer‑focused culture.
• Oversee maintenance, performance and availability of hardware, software and network infrastructure.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships to align IT services with business needs.
• Manage supplier relationships, budgets and service agreements.
• Support delivery of IT projects and operational improvements.
• Oversee onboarding, equipment lifecycle management and user access.
• Ensure cyber‑security controls, monitoring and incident management remain effective.
• Support data‑protection activities and compliance with internal policies.
• Identify continuous‑improvement opportunities across IT operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing IT operations in a complex business environment.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, service delivery and supplier management.
• Experience leading and developing IT support or operations teams.
• Solid understanding of cyber‑security, identity and access management, patching and incident response.
• Knowledge of data‑protection and operational compliance requirements.
• Excellent organisational and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused attitude with ability to prioritise a varied workload.
• Strong communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
