IT Project Coordinator (Remote, UK)

About the role

The IT Project Coordinator will support the delivery of IT initiatives for a Government Services organisation, working remotely across the UK. You will act as the bridge between IT teams and operational stakeholders, ensuring projects, system enhancements and service improvements are planned, communicated and executed effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support IT projects, enhancements and service improvements for Search and Rescue (SAR) and other Government Services operations.
• Maintain project documentation, track milestones, manage dependencies and produce regular status reports.
• Provide technical support for SAR IT systems, including deployment, troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Assist with change management activities: impact assessments, scheduling, implementation tracking and stakeholder communication.
• Develop and maintain business requirements, Statements of Work, project plans and service transition materials.
• Monitor KPIs, project progress and service metrics, reporting findings to support decision‑making.
• Coordinate onboarding, access provisioning and training activities to ensure smooth service adoption.
• Support major incident response and service restoration, communicating across stakeholders during critical events.
• Help plan and allocate resources across multiple initiatives to optimise delivery capability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in IT support or service delivery, preferably within flight operations, emergency services or other safety‑critical environments.
• Proven ability to work with regional and global stakeholders, third‑party providers and cross‑functional IT teams.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with a focus on delivering results on time.
