IT Project Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an IT Project Engineer to lead infrastructure projects for our customers across Hampshire, West Sussex and Dorset. The role is focused on delivering end‑to‑end solutions such as Microsoft 365 migrations, Windows Server deployments and virtualisation upgrades, with the flexibility to work from home 1‑2 days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver customer infrastructure projects from planning through to handover.
• Implement Microsoft 365 solutions including Intune, Entra ID and SharePoint.
• Deploy and migrate Windows Server environments.
• Execute virtualisation projects on Hyper‑V and VMware platforms.
• Install and configure networking equipment such as switches, firewalls and wireless solutions.
• Support customer onboarding and infrastructure upgrades.
• Assist with technical pre‑sales, project scoping and documentation.
• Build strong relationships with customers throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering IT infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Entra ID/Azure AD, Intune, SharePoint).
• Experience with virtualization (Hyper‑V or VMware).
• Good understanding of networking concepts and equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with customers.
• Proactive attitude with a genuine sense of ownership.
