IT Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Engineer to join a busy projects team delivering infrastructure and networking solutions for customers across the UK. The role is hands‑on and covers the full project lifecycle, from initial customer meetings and technical design through to implementation, testing and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver IT infrastructure projects both on‑site and remotely.
• Install and configure servers, virtualization platforms, networking and security solutions.
• Conduct technical audits and customer site surveys.
• Produce technical documentation, solution designs and project reports.
• Support pre‑sales activities and provide technical input during customer discussions.
• Provide third‑line support and handle technical escalations when required.
• Work closely with customers to ensure successful project delivery and satisfaction.

Required profile

• Strong experience delivering infrastructure projects.
• Good knowledge of Windows Server, Hyper‑V and SCCM.
• Proficiency with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy administration.
• Experience with backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Solid networking knowledge, including switching, wireless and network security.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting firewalls.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and implement complex solutions.
• Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
