IT Project Manager – Banking Transformation (Hybrid)

About the role

The role is a 12‑month fixed‑term position with a reputable global bank undergoing a major IT transformation of its core banking systems. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid model, three days a week in the Central London office and two days remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Upgrade and integrate the core banking system, including contracts, licences and retirement of the legacy platform.
• Update and enhance the bank’s treasury system.
• Implement upgrades to disaster‑recovery (DR) capabilities.
• Lead data migrations and automation initiatives.
• Upgrade the IT communications room infrastructure.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including the overseas head office.
• Manage project‑related risks throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing IT transformation projects.
• Hands‑on experience with banking system upgrades and integrations.
• Strong understanding of system automation, data migrations, governance and cyber‑security principles.
• Familiarity with ISO20022 standards.
