IT Security Manager (Remote)

About the role

We are supporting a fast‑growing enterprise SaaS business in building a group‑wide security function from the ground up. As the IT Security Manager you will shape security strategy, drive operational delivery and manage risk across infrastructure, applications and cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the organisation’s security roadmap and function.
• Manage and prioritise security risks, remediation activities and continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering, SRE, product and operations teams to implement practical security controls.
• Own Identity & Access Management processes for cloud and SaaS environments.
• Improve governance around authentication, permissions, privileged access and device security.
• Support the security of APIs, applications and external platform access.
• Manage relationships with third‑party security providers and ensure delivery of recommendations.
• Support compliance initiatives for ISO 27001, SOC 2 and NIST.
• Act as escalation point for significant security incidents.
• Drive security awareness and embed best practices across the organisation.

Required profile

• Strong experience in cloud security, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
• Expertise in IAM, SSO, SaaS security and API security.
• Hands‑on scripting or automation experience using Python, Bash or similar tools.
• Experience supporting audits, certifications and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST).
• Knowledge of security methodologies such as MITRE ATT&CK.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Background in high‑growth or rapidly evolving organisations.
• French language skills are a plus.

• Salary £65,000‑£75,000 per annum plus discretionary 10% bonus.
