About the role

The IT Sourcing Manager will lead the procurement of IT products and services for a large public‑sector organisation. Based in Milton Keynes, you will ensure value for money, compliance with public‑sector regulations and support key national projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end sourcing process for all IT‑related procurement activities.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that drive cost efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to capture IT requirements and align them with organisational goals.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions.
• Monitor supplier performance, maintain strong relationships and ensure service quality.
• Ensure adherence to public‑sector procurement regulations and internal policies.
• Analyse market trends to identify cost‑saving and innovation opportunities.
• Provide guidance and support to team members on procurement best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably within the public sector.
• Strong knowledge of IT products, services and market trends.
• Excellent negotiation and contract‑management abilities.
• Familiarity with public‑sector procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Problem‑solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Relevant professional qualifications in procurement or supply chain management.
