IT Supplier and Contracts Manager

About the role

The public sector organisation in Leeds is expanding its digital and technology function and needs an experienced IT Supplier and Contracts Manager. Reporting to a senior technology leader, you will own the full lifecycle of IT contracts and supplier agreements, ensuring value, compliance and high-quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage IT contracts from initiation through renewal, variation and termination.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers on contract matters.
• Monitor supplier performance against KPIs, SLAs and contractual commitments.
• Collaborate with procurement, legal, finance and technology teams.
• Maintain contract records and governance documentation.
• Provide commercial and contractual advice to support projects and procurement activities.
• Identify cost-saving, risk-mitigation and service-improvement opportunities.
• Lead supplier review meetings and relationship-management activities.
• Produce performance and risk reports for senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing IT supplier contracts and commercial relationships.
• Strong contract negotiation and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Experience monitoring supplier performance and managing contractual risk.
• Knowledge of governance, compliance and data-protection requirements.
• Ability to work effectively with technical, procurement, finance and legal teams.
• Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.
• Experience in the public sector or higher education is a plus.
