IT Support Assistant

About the role

We are looking for an IT Support Assistant to join our technology team in Acton, London. The role provides first‑line technical assistance to warehouse staff and the wider business, ensuring critical systems stay operational.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1st line support for hardware, software and business applications.
• Log, manage and resolve service‑desk tickets within SLA targets.
• Prepare, configure and dispatch IT equipment for new hires and internal moves.
• Maintain accurate asset records and technical documentation.
• Support bespoke business systems and participate in user‑testing activities.
• Assist with IT infrastructure roll‑outs and technology projects.
• Identify and suggest improvements to service‑desk processes and user experience.
• Deliver onsite support to warehouse teams, installing and maintaining desktops, laptops, tablets, monitors, printers, peripherals and cabling.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an IT support, service‑desk or help‑desk role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication with both technical and non‑technical users.
• Customer‑focused attitude and willingness to assist colleagues.
• Ability to prioritise workload in a fast‑paced operational environment.
• Attention to detail and good organisational skills.
