IT Support Assistant – Onsite in Acton, London

About the role

We are seeking an IT Support Assistant to join the onsite technology team in Acton, supporting warehouse operations. The role offers hands‑on experience across a broad range of systems and projects, reporting to the IT Operations Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1st line support for hardware, software and business applications.
• Manage and resolve service‑desk tickets within agreed SLAs.
• Prepare, configure and ship IT equipment for new starters and internal moves.
• Maintain accurate asset records and technical documentation.
• Support bespoke business systems and assist with user‑testing activities.
• Assist with IT infrastructure rollouts and technology projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve service‑desk processes and user experience.
• Deliver responsive onsite support to warehouse teams.
• Install and maintain desktops, laptops, tablets, monitors, printers, peripherals and cabling.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues to minimise operational downtime.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an IT Support, Service Desk or Helpdesk environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication with both technical and non‑technical users.
• Customer‑focused attitude and willingness to help.
• Ability to prioritise workload in a fast‑paced operational setting.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proactive mindset with a desire to learn and develop technical skills.
