IT Support Engineer – 6-month contract – Woking

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer for a 6‑month contract in Woking. You will provide 1st and 2nd line support to both office and manufacturing users, handling a full range of Microsoft 365 services and physical deskside assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1st and 2nd line IT support to local and remote users via deskside visits and ticketing systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and Microsoft 365 issues.
• Own support tickets from logging to resolution, meeting SLA targets.
• Manage the Joiners, Leavers and Movers (JLM) lifecycle, including account creation, hardware provisioning and permissions.
• Configure, deploy and support laptops, desktops, mobile devices and peripherals.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and Office.
• Maintain accurate documentation and update knowledge articles.
• Assist with hardware builds, deployments, asset management and workstation moves.

Required profile

• Proven experience providing 1st and 2nd line support in a Microsoft‑centric environment.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work on‑site five days a week and move around the business as needed.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus.
