IT Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to be the primary IT support presence for iCOMAT’s UK operations. Based at our Gloucester site, you will work closely with the Business Systems Manager to support users, systems and infrastructure across Gloucester, Bristol and Swindon.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line support for hardware, software, network and connectivity issues, both remotely and on‑site.
• Log, prioritise and resolve incidents and service requests through the helpdesk system.
• Communicate professionally with users at all levels and manage multiple support requests simultaneously.
• Identify and implement improvements to support processes, documentation and user guidance.
• Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices, including provisioning for new starters and role changes.

Required profile

• Hands‑on attitude with a passion for solving technical problems.
• Strong customer‑focused approach and clear communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with the wider IT team.

Required skills

• Desktop support (Windows operating systems).
• Hardware installation and configuration.
• Network troubleshooting and connectivity support.
• Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems.
