IT Support Engineer – London (3-month contract)

About the role

We are seeking an IT Support Engineer to join a recognised, customer‑facing organisation of around 2,000 employees. The role is based in London on a three‑month contract, offering a fast‑paced environment where you will support end‑user computing, infrastructure and business applications.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line IT support both on‑site and remotely, logging and resolving incidents within SLA using the ITSM platform.
• Handle service requests such as password resets, account unlocks, access permissions via O365 Admin and software installations.
• Manage user accounts and groups in Active Directory.
• Set up and configure new devices – laptops, desktops, mobiles, tablets – and support ongoing projects like a laptop refresh rollout.
• Perform routine security administration and liaise with third‑party suppliers to progress issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a technical support or service‑desk role.
• Familiarity with Windows Server environments, Windows 10/11, Office 365 and Active Directory.
• Confidence in setting up and managing endpoints (laptops, desktops, mobiles, tablets).
• Understanding of ITIL practices (incident and change management); certification is a plus.
• Basic networking knowledge such as DHCP, DNS and TCP/IP.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem‑solving attitude.
