IT Support Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to join a well‑established manufacturing business in Whitefield, Manchester. The role is primarily site‑based, supporting office, warehouse, factory and remote users across two locations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to a diverse user base.
• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, IP phones and mobile devices.
• Take ownership of help‑desk tickets and resolve issues efficiently.
• Support the delivery of key IT projects across the business.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of IT support experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel between Whitefield and Oldham sites.
• Proactive, customer‑focused attitude with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

• Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP and DNS
• Network infrastructure – switches, VLANs, Wi‑Fi and VPNs
• iOS and Android device management
• VoIP telephony systems
• ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus or similar ITSM platform
• HCL Notes/Domino (desirable)
• Windows Server 2019+ (desirable)
• Endpoint security deployment and management (desirable)
• VMware and Hyper‑V (desirable)
• macOS (desirable)
• Linux (desirable)

What we offer
