IT Support Technician

About the role

We are looking for an IT Support Technician to join a fast‑moving FMCG company in Fareham. You will be responsible for keeping the organisation’s IT environment running smoothly and securely, providing first‑line support to users across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to end‑users, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues promptly.
• Maintain and update IT systems to ensure optimal performance and security compliance.
• Monitor system performance and proactively address potential problems.
• Install and configure new hardware and software as required.
• Document technical processes and solutions for future reference.
• Assist with larger IT projects, upgrades and inventory management.
• Ensure adherence to company IT policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience with system maintenance and basic network administration.
• Knowledge of IT security best practices.
• Good communication skills and a detail‑oriented approach.

What we offer

• Salary between £35,500 and £38,000 per year, dependent on experience.
• Permanent contract based in Fareham.
