IT Systems Administrator

About the role

Practice Plan, part of the Wesleyan Group, is looking for an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join a collaborative team. You will support a cloud‑first strategy, maintain critical infrastructure and help deliver technology projects that keep dental practices running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support delivery of infrastructure and technology projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues as a key escalation point.
• Maintain and optimise core IT infrastructure to ensure high availability, security and performance.
• Support the development of technology standards, processes and controls.
• Contribute to the cloud‑first strategy by identifying improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Curious, proactive IT professional with a passion for solving complex problems.
• Proven experience administering Microsoft infrastructure (Active Directory, Entra ID, Windows Server).
• Strong knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, switching, firewall).
• Experience with virtualization, backup solutions and cloud services, preferably Azure.
• Demonstrated ability to support or deliver infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and adaptability.
