IT Systems Administrator

About the role

ZenaTech Inc. is looking for a proactive IT Systems Administrator to join its growing technology team in London. You will be responsible for maintaining the stability, security and performance of Windows and cloud‑based server environments while providing high‑quality technical support to users across multiple office locations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain and monitor Windows Server and cloud‑based servers.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Azure Active Directory, SharePoint and Teams.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, group policies and access controls.
• Provide first‑, second‑ and third‑line support for hardware, software and network issues.
• Maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers and peripheral equipment.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents and carry out preventative maintenance.
• Support network infrastructure – switches, routers, VPNs, Wi‑Fi and firewalls.
• Manage endpoint security, antivirus solutions, MFA and cybersecurity best practices.
• Perform backups, disaster‑recovery testing and business‑continuity procedures.
• Assist with onboarding/off‑boarding, equipment provisioning and account decommissioning.
• Maintain accurate IT documentation, asset registers and licences.
• Collaborate with third‑party vendors and managed service providers.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an IT Systems Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server environments and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience managing Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, Exchange Online and SharePoint.
• Good understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, wireless).
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and virtualisation platforms.
• Awareness of UK GDPR, information‑security standards and internal IT policies.
