IT Systems Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join the Practice Plan team within the Wesleyan Group. The role is hybrid, based in Oswestry, and will support our dental‑practice customers by keeping the technology environment secure, reliable and performant.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the delivery of infrastructure and technology projects, driving improvements across systems, services and platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, acting as a key escalation point within the IT team.
• Maintain and optimise core IT infrastructure to ensure high availability, security and performance.
• Develop and enforce technology standards, processes and controls to strengthen operational resilience.
• Contribute to the cloud‑first strategy by identifying and implementing enhancements in Azure and related services.

Required profile

• Proactive IT professional with proven experience administering Microsoft infrastructure (Active Directory, Entra ID, Windows Server).
• Strong understanding of networking principles such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, switching and firewalls.
• Hands‑on experience with virtualization, backup solutions and cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
• Demonstrated ability to support or deliver infrastructure and systems projects in a business environment.

What we offer

• Salary £33,000‑£38,000 per year
