IT Systems Administrator – Site based

About the role

We are seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join our Southampton site on a fully onsite basis. The role involves monitoring, troubleshooting and supporting core IT services for a manufacturing environment, with occasional weekly visits to a nearby Luton site.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to tickets logged through ServiceNow.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and system issues, arranging repairs or replacements as needed.
• Provide on‑site desktop and laptop support, including imaging, deployment and lifecycle management.
• Administer user accounts, access permissions, mobile devices, voicemail and endpoint administration.
• Support, configure, maintain and upgrade server infrastructure and related business systems.
• Administer third‑party applications such as WinMan, DDM and Sunrise.
• Manage leaver processes, ensuring accounts are disabled and equipment is returned.
• Research issues and recommend infrastructure or service improvements.
• Assist with onboarding and off‑boarding, delivering IT induction and user guidance.
• Provide weekly on‑site support to the Luton Sales and Service site.

Required profile

• Proven experience in systems administration or IT infrastructure support.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows‑based server and endpoint environments.
• Good knowledge of best practices for managing server, virtual and storage platforms.
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions, preferably Veeam.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing and manufacturing‑related applications is a plus.
