IT Technician – Central IT Services

About the role

The Birmingham Diocesan Multi-Academy Trust is looking for an IT Technician to join its central IT services team. Based at the Trust’s head office, you will provide first‑ and second‑line support to a network of schools across South Birmingham and Solihull, travelling to sites as required.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues for staff and pupils.
• Assist with routine network maintenance and upgrades.
• Support end‑users with Office 365, Windows 10 and other Microsoft services.
• Contribute to the development of digital solutions that improve teaching and learning.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents and resolutions.

Required profile

• Proactive problem‑solver with a strong enthusiasm for technology.
• Good communication and customer‑service skills.
• Grade 4/C in Maths and English or Functional Skills Level 2.
• Valid UK driving licence (mileage reimbursed).
