IT Technician – First‑line Support (Manchester)

About the role

We are seeking an IT Technician to join a growing education organisation on our busy Manchester campus. You will provide first‑line technical support to staff and students, ensuring smooth and secure day‑to‑day IT operations.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for end‑users both on‑site and remotely.
• Configure, image and maintain laptops, desktops and related peripherals.
• Support audio‑visual equipment used in teaching and meetings.
• Maintain and monitor core IT systems, ensuring reliability and security.
• Assist with user account management and email services.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering face‑to‑face and remote IT support.
• Knowledge of ITIL service management practices.
• Strong understanding of IT security and data‑privacy principles.
• Excellent problem‑solving and customer‑service orientation.
