IT Technician

About the role

Express Solicitors is seeking an IT Technician to join its internal IT team. The successful candidate will help maintain and develop the firm’s IT infrastructure, providing day‑to‑day support to staff and ensuring reliable operation of hardware and software resources.

Key responsibilities

• Administer in‑house software and manage desktop support for Windows 10 environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues, including PCs, laptops, printers, scanners and other peripherals.
• Provide support for company mobile phones and other mobile devices.
• Assist with the telecoms system and security systems linked to the network.
• Maintain a comprehensive IT asset register.
• Occasional travel to the Liverpool branch for on‑site assistance.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months experience in an IT support role (2 years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Windows‑based operating systems and common troubleshooting techniques.
• Understanding of basic network infrastructure and computer hardware.
• Analytical mindset with solid problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to prioritise tickets based on business impact.
